Get up groggy in the morning and we have the whole world of troubles awaiting us.
We are a society of growing number of amnesiacs. America’s National Sleeping Foundation’s Sleep in America poll reveals that 6th to 12th grader adolescents in that country are not sleeping enough and this lack of sleep worsens as they progress through their teen years.
Little though is available in terms of statistics in other countries but it is no exaggeration to say that the figures are comparable in both the developed and the developing countries. Call it a bane of civilization as populations across the borders in ever greater numbers conform to a pressure oriented lifestyle in a globalizing world economy bringing with its rewards some loads of pain.
Look at this scenario. Infants are late sleepers because their parents are up till late for reasons of returning home from work late or leisure in late nights out or watching TV. School going kids go to bed late as they must catch up with their favorite TV shows in the midst of the homework pressure while an evening out in the park is the demand of their “very concerned” parents. Grownups are late with all their preoccupations which grow with their curricula at school and then college. Pressure at the office makes the executives late as meetings after day’s work in the field are now a daily affair. Not-so-busy are late as their pleasure hours extend late into nights.....
The first casualty is sleep. As a grown up if you do not sleep atleast six hours undisturbed, you will be groggy the whole next day. You may run over the island or the central verge on the road while driving or bump into a vehicle, as a result. Safety is the second casualty. Lack of concentration at work is the third casualty. You are an easy irritable junk who would pounce at any body at the slightest provocation. Your patience is the forth casualty. Fracas with your colleague or boss is terribly upsetting. Peace and decorum at work add up two more in your growing list of casualties. In foul mood you return home foul-mouthed too and take it all out of the days on your kids and wife. Well, needless to say, peace and happiness at home take your casualty count to seven.
Can you get good night’s sleep thereafter? The eighth casualty is lack of sleep which completes the vicious circle. Now count your days of restlessness and watch yourself going nuts until the realization dawns upon you – what I am doing to myself? By now you are already an amnesiac. Go to a doctor;
buy Lunesta or Ambien, for the sleeping pills are the only recourse you have to get back what you have lost.
But remember,
sleeping pills can bring order to your life only if you are happy by heart. Your good Lunesta can provide you great sleeps which can makes you feels fresh.
