In our society today, many women want to be thinner, and have often gone to great lengths to achieve this aim. Even after becoming thinner, some women still have cellulite, however. There are lots of advertisements for various creams and other methods to get rid of cellulite; however, these often prove to be disappointing. Some anti-cellulite creams may be helpful for some women; however, these creams do not address the root of the problem. It is not necessary to spend so much money for such dubious treatment methods as anti-cellulite creams, as there indeed exists a natural treatment of cellulite. Diet and exercise can be effective in changing the shape of your legs.

Firstly, it is useful to know what cellulite is and how it occurs. Actually, cellulite is not a medical condition or health risk, and has been shown to occur in about 90% of all women. It occurs mostly on the thighs and sometimes forms lumps or dimples. It forms as the fat located just underneath the skin builds and then forms bumps and bulges. The causes of cellulite vary, and may come from genetics, high levels of the female hormone estrogen, lack of water, or poor diet and irregular lifestyle. The following suggestions are a few changes you can make in your diet or lifestyle that may affect cellulite.

What You Should Add to Your Diet

Diet plays an important role in the treatment of cellulite, and you can improve your overall health by following an anti-cellulite diet which aims to remove extra toxins and clean your body. The preferable foods for this diet are organic fruits and vegetables which contain plenty of fiber and minerals, which are helpful for removing toxins from the body. Such kinds of fruits and vegetable as blueberries, blackberries, cherries, mangos, oranges, grapefruit, tomatoes, bell peppers and carrots are worth trying. Also, oily fishes, nuts and seeds are helpful as they are rich in fatty acids and antioxidant minerals.

What You Should Avoid in Your Diet

There are some problems foods which contribute to cellulite or make cellulite worse. Such problem foods and consumed goods are as follows: caffeine, sugar, alcohol, cigarette, refined food and saturated fat. If you focus on a crash diet, you probably will be not successful in getting rid of cellulite- a regular and persistent diet is best.

Changing your diet is just one good way to fight cellulite. If you combine diet and exercise you able to completely rid yourself of some cellulite fat. Exercise at least three times per week: even just s walk after supper will help you reduce the fat. Being persistent with exercise is important.
